Our Sydney HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) unit provides participants with the skills and knowledge to assist in a cardiac arrest where CPR is required. It covers all aspects of basic resuscitation as well as the use of defibrillators in the public setting.
The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid unit we hold in Sydney is recognised as the required training for first aider’s in the workplace under all the various WorkCover authorities throughout Australia.
The HLTAID012 Provide First Aid In An Education and Care Setting unit covers all the aspects of the Provide First Aid course as well as providing additional training especially in areas of asthma and anaphylaxis specific to the childcare industry. This unit is specifically designed for those actively working in the childcare industry in Sydney, such as teachers and childcare workers.
FAQs About Our First Aid Courses in Sydney
Your First Aid certificate does not have an expiration date. However, it is recommended by SafeWork Australia that your First Aid certificate be renewed every 3 years. Depending on the employer and workplace, more frequent renewal of First Aid may be required.
It is recommended that your CPR certificate is renewed every 12 months.
Most of our courses are completed in one day. Our First Aid courses typically run for 7 hours from 9am to 4pm and our CPR courses typically run for 3 hours from 9am to 12pm. Most of our public venues now use the blended format which involves completion of some precourse online work, then just 3 ½ – 4 hours face to face.
It ultimately depends on what course you take but our CPR and First Aid courses range from $50 to $120. See our price list below:
