First Aid and CPR courses

RAPID First Aid courses - online learning followed by 1/2 hour face to face

Vital First Aid TRUSTED for over 25 years

“The life of the casualty lies in the hands of the first person to touch them” – unknown author

Vital First Aid is a dynamic Registered Training Organisation specialising in providing accredited practical training in all facets of first aid and pre-hospital care.

In our opinion, the only experts in first aid training are those that do it professionally – emergency service workers including paramedics, police and firefighters. All our instructors have extensive real life experience in pre-hospital care and endeavour to make first aid training fun, real, and true to life.

Vital First Aid does not cancel courses due to low numbers, unlike many other training providers. We understand that in today’s busy world, it takes a lot of organisation to fit in a first aid course, and there is nothing more frustrating than having that course cancelled due to a lack of participants. You can rest easy knowing that once you’re confirmed, the course will go ahead!   Due to COVID19 some Sydney public courses may be cancelled – please check a few days prior to the course by ring our office.

Worried about attending a first aid course with other people during COVID but still need your First Aid certification ? We have options……….

Our RAPID First Aid courses are designed ideally for those that have a current first aid certificate or one that has only recently expired. You will complete an online learning/assessment module prior to the course then attend, BY YOURSELF with only the trainer, for approx. 1/2 hour. During this 1/2 hour session, you will be required to demonstrate all the practical aspects of the first aid successfully and complete a few written assessments.

Rapid First Aid

Just complete an online module (approx 4 – 7 hours work) prior to then attending a very short ASSESSMENT-only session at the training venue. This assessment session will take approx 1/2 – 3/4 hour where you will be expected to demonstrate all the required practical tasks including CPR. You will also complete a multiple-choice assessment online whilst you are at the venue.

These sessions are one-on-one with normal COVID safe protocols in place including wearing of masks etc.

So with this option, you can gain First Aid certification, have extremely minimal contact with other people and be very COVID safe – $150 per person.

If you need the HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting unit, simply book a session in the HLTAID011 Provide first aid and then give us a call requesting the extra unit.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Traveling thru Sydney during this lockdown for first aid training is not recommended – there are better and safer options.

Unfortunately ALL our Sydney venues are closed due to the COVID Lockdown till the end of July. We feel that the risk of moving thru Sydney unnecessarily is simply too great for our trainers and students.

You can complete our online option for CPR and First Aid at home and avoid traveling during this Lock-down.

Do not attend any courses if you are required to be Self-Isolating as per NSW Dept of Health or have any cold / flu symptoms

As COVID 19 has rapidly changing effects on our community, please refer to NSW Health for the most up to date and accurate information
